Athens Attica Zoological Park

Mr. 7’s favourite thing to do is go to the zoo, and we’ve been to them in Riga, Latvia and Edinburgh, Scotland so we planned to go to the one in Athens too. Unfortunately Ms. 10 stepped on a sea-urchin the day before and put her foot out of commission. I now know how to remove spines from a foot! Mr. 7 and I had a great time, and it was a great father/son day.

We landed at the Athens airport and did our usual routine, get through the passport checkpoint (usually a piece of wees for us, a travelling family; the kids break the ice!), get our bags and venture outside to find a cab.

Bucharest to Plovdiv

Early April we said goodbye to Bucharest which got really warm and beautiful as all the trees were sprouting with leaves. We booked a shuttle van which picked us up from our Bucharest apartment; we loved that little place, it was just large enough and was a simple mix of hardwood floors and bright decor. My daughter’s room was a girl’s room normally so she was right at home.
