Bali, Nyepi – the Day of Silence
As soon as we got to Bali we were told about Nyepi, the holiday of silence. No stores are open. No one leaves the house. Silence. Today's the day.
Bali, A walk with Guli
Daughter and I decided to go for a walk just us, and we walked out the gate and bumped into the Villa manager, Guli. What luck, he took us on an amazing walk!
Bali, Bali Zoo
The Bali Zoo is very well done, with lots of things to see, two large campuses connected via a short bus ride, and we had lots of fun seeing the animals. We even crashed the bird show.
Bali, the Sacred Monkey Forest
Across the street from Hubud is the Sacred Monkey Forest and we are here on the weekend having a wander. It's sort of reasonably priced and I'm excited though not 100% sure what to expect.
