So much of our travels happens near wherever we’re staying. We did have a car the first weekend in Malta and we made the most of it, but walking is our normal mode.

We took a weekend day-trip to Gozo. After the freezing cold ferry ride (but at least it wasn’t nauseating, and it was sunny!) we enjoyed Malta’s other island.

A rainy, cold tour of Mdina. All the photos show it being baked by the sun! We are undaunted and set off on the bus to visit the old capital of Malta.

We got up early and down to the ferry terminal at the end of our street, and now we realise taking a boat over is the best way to go; avoid the crowds and rush and head across in style. After a quick wander we got in line for Carnivale, it got postponed for a […]
